About us

Who we are

The Association "Prietenia" founded in 1996 and is a Romanian non-governmental nonprofit organization; its objects are: assisting, supporting and care children and adults with special needs using curative pedagogy and social therapy initiated by Rudolf Steiner, as method of operation.  Members of the association are parents, teachers and other people eager to help children, youth and adults with disabilities Association "Prietenia" is interested.  In another 80 percent of children and young assisted suffer severe mental disorders associated with neuromotorical deficiencies (Down syndrome, had, epilepsy, severe mental, absence language, its conduct disorder, pareza spastica) and could not be integrated into another system of education and work in Romania.  To help these children youngters and adults, the Association "Prietenia" planned and carried out the following: to establish a school and  support the school activities-in 1996 the association set up CPCTS "Corabia" in partnership with Ministry of Education and Sonnhalde Gempen Switzerland, continued in 1998 when established the vocational school, joiner's and tapistry profile, in the CPCTS "Corabia"- afterwards,  for the integration of adults with disabilities in society, in 2006 it was set up CST Pantelimon. 

Mission

The mission of the association is to offer support and assistance and care persons with mental disabilities and using time-associated social and therapy initiated by Rudolf Steiner, the method of operation.  

Aims

- support for disabled children to attend school

- support for the school to provide the best conditions of studying adapted to the special needs of these children

- help for families to keep children together with the other members of the family

- guidance of adults assisted in work and life, prospects for personal development

- professional training in curative pedagogy and sociotherapy for teachers, phichologists, social workers

- promote curative pedagogy and sociotherapy as alternative methods of education and working with people with disabilities
